Why a laptop stand?
With a laptop, the screen and keyboard are attached to each other. If the keyboard is at a suitable working height, the screen is often too low and the head bends forward. As a result, the neck and shoulder muscles have to keep the head in that position for a long time. A laptop stand raises the screen. In combination with a separate keyboard and mouse, screen height and hand position can be adjusted separately. This reduces the need to bend over.

In a study with ten participants, a setup with the ErgoQ-laptopsteun gave less mechanical neck strain and less experienced strain on the neck than a laptop without this setup. Lindblad Berkhout et al., 2004.
