Why choose a precision mouse?
A precision mouse is operated with the fingertips, much like a pen. The DXT combines this precision grip with a more upright hand position, reducing inward rotation of the forearm. The cursor can be controlled with small, deliberate movements, while the wrist needs to bend backwards less. Research into a mouse with a pen grip measured lower muscle activity in the forearm, neck and shoulder than with a traditional mouse (Ullman et al., 2003). Reducing sustained muscle tension is relevant to wrist, forearm, neck and shoulder discomfort caused by prolonged mouse use. The DXT can also be used left-handed or right-handed, allowing mouse work to be shared between both hands.
