Why use a document holder?
Documents lying flat or beside the keyboard require repeated downward glances and turning of the neck. A document holder positions the paper at an angle between the keyboard and screen. This brings the documents and screen more closely into the same viewing direction, reducing head movement. This helps limit prolonged strain on the neck and shoulders. Suitable positioning also reduces the difference in viewing distance between the paper and screen.
